VIVAnews – The Ministry of Public Housing will build cheap houses worth Rp25 million each especially for civil servants in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Every house will be built on a 36 sqm land.
“Housing development is badly needed there,” said Minister of Public Housing, Djan Faridz, last night, Jan 19.
Djan said that to build these houses, the government will cooperate with the local government to provide the land.
“46 districts/towns have requested the government to build houses in their area,” said Djan Faridz.
Djan said that the building will be designed with casted walls and there will be a 5 cm-thick concrete steel in the middle. “We are preparing the prototype now. We will give royalty to anyone who can prepare the model,” said Djan.
Djan said that the purpose is to accelerate houses’ backlog requirements. “Houses’ backlog is 13.6 million at the moment,” he said.
