VIVAnews – A member of Mesuji Fact Finder Team (TPGF), Mas Ahmad Santosa, revealed that there are 46 cases similar to the Mesuji case.
“Police Chief of South Sumatra identified around 46 similar cases that may end up like the one occurred in Mesuji,” he said yesterday.
TGPF also revealed that there are 5 other cases similar to the one involving PT SWA. Mas Ahmad added that the Police Chief of Kayu Agung has sent a letter or report to the Regent of Ogan Komering Ilir mentioning about these five cases.
“These five cases may end up like Mesuji if not being handled properly,” he said.
TGPF also appreciated the steps taken by the Regent of Ogan Komering Ilir in distributing circular prohibiting district chiefs to issue out new Land Regulation Letter, to prevent any complications in the implementation.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Political, Justice, and Security Affairs, Djoko Suyanto, stated that many groups of people came to Mesuji while they were not part of the locals.
“Their IDs showed that they came from outside Lampung. There are many newcomers in the area,” he said.
